Video Marketing and Its Importance

Video Marketing Tip #2

Social Media Strategy - Think About It

The value of using video in your marketing is understated.  Keep in mind that when you watch something you will retain 95% of what you have watched and heard as compared to 10% of what you read or that you hear.

This is very significant information to keep in mind when you realize in the United States each person who is online will watch about 84 minutes of video per day.  That means that the video needs to be worth watching and giving the person who is watching value.  When the value is provided then it is really remembered.

One area really needs to be looked at when you are considering online marketing.  Social media is a driving force in all online and business marketing today.  No matter what business you are in social media presence needs to be considered and it needs to be strategized.

One of the single greatest failures is to think of social media as a place where you can put a picture of your product and a few lines of keyword-based text and believe that this is going to get you any results.  The data says this is absolutely not true.

Video Marketing Tip #6

One of the big considerations for anyone

who is doing video marketing is first

planning and then taking a close at the

the audience that the video is being

prepared for…

Important thoughts to consider include:

A. Not Knowing Your Audience

B. Trying To Make It Perfect

C. Only One Topic Per Video

D.  Who Is Your Audience

E.  Understand Why Do They Care About This Topic?

F.  What is The Learning Objective?

G.  Does It Benefit The Audience?

Will address this in greater detail over the next few weeks.

The Becomers has been around for a

very long time.  It started with things

that I was doing in my classroom.  I

was a science teacher and coach.  I

was also an insurance agent.  I asked

my principal why it was that when I

went to insurance meetings there

was always someone there to get me

all fired up and ready to sell more

insurance.  As a coach, I gave a pep

talk to my teams every single time we

would meet together.  So why wasn’t

I doing that with my students? His

reply was … why aren’t you… I went

on to develop a program for my

classes where every Monday for 36

weeks I would talk to my students

about those things that would help

them be more successful in life.

I went on to form the Becomers and

began working in Fargo helping

companies and individuals to

transform their businesses and their

lives.

I started Allen Ralston Marketing

because of my interest in digital

marketing after working with

Whitewater Learning, an online

learning platform for teachers and

administrators.
